Which Is The Best CD Player?
5. Bose Wave
CD players may sound counterintuitive in today’s technology, however, modern CD players are so much more than their name would suggest, delivering interesting features, amazing sound performance, quality, and versatility. The Bose Wave promises just that, with the best audio quality and performance on the market, versatility, and tons of features as it looks to replace all the audio devices in your home, and it will most likely achieve its goal comfortably.
The Bose Wave has an interesting design and it is a behemoth, with its large dimensions and all-plastic black body. It measures about 16×12.6×12.5-inches in total complete with the multi-cd changer accessory and weighs about 14.8-pounds, so it will need its area to operate. It has the same iconic design as its predecessor had, with speakers on each side of the front, its display in the middle showing metadata from the song and CD compartment on its main part and 3 CD compartments on its multi-changer accessory.
On the back of the device, you will spot the BoseLink port for the accessories, such as the included Multi-CD changer, but there are two more accessories you can buy for this CD player if you wish to enhance its functionalities. They are the Wave Connect Kit that is a dock for your iPhone or iPod and the Wave Bluetooth to add Bluetooth connection to your device as its name implies. Other than that the ports consist of an AUX port, Headphones in port, and FM antenna port.
The sound performance of the Bose Wave is trademark Bose, with powerful bass and warm mid-range, extremely clean throughout no bleeding was apparent from the bass to the mid or high-range. The treble was sharp and detailed enough to keep the sound together and well balanced. Amazing sound quality, everybody is impressed with it.
However, the Bose Wave doesn’t utilize a digital to analogue converting from the external sources, which essentially degrades the sound a little, holding the full potential of the product.
With minimal downsides besides its premium price, the Bose Wave is a great addition to your home audio system.
4. HOTT CD611
Portable CD players were a big part of our growing up process in the late 90s and early 2000s, as it was the only choice to take your music on the go. There is a sense of nostalgia that comes when finding that these devices still exist and are equipped with modern features and capable of producing good music wherever you are.
The HOTT CD611 is an excellent portable CD player that will provide amazing experiences on the road or home, you can easily listen to your CD collection old or new, thanks to the exceptional features of this product.
The HOTT CD611 has a really small footprint as it measures just 5.6×5.6×0.6-inches in total with its round shape and weighs just 7.2-pounds. It also is the best looking portable CD player in the market with its smooth and refined appearance, it is covered with a black glossy plastic body throughout, except the copper-like CD tray and its outer band.
On top of it, you will spot the LCD that is excellent and shows you metadata about the song, there you will also find the playback controls that will deliver you adequate control over your playback. They consist of play/pause button, stop button, next track and last track button that also act as forward and backwards seek if you press and hold, you also get five sound effects you can choose with this CD player and four playback modes which make it very versatile and convenient to use.
On the sides of the device, you will find the volume adjust dial, the open switch to open the tray which goes hand to hand with the HOLD lock and this was one of my favourite features of this product because when activated you can’t open the tray accidentally. Apart from that on the sides, you will find the 3.5mm headphone jack to plug in your headphones or speakers, and the power socket to recharge the device.
In the package of this device, you will get a pair of stereo headphones that were of decent quality and provided good sound, a USB power cable to recharge the CD player, the CD player itself, a testing CD and the user manual.

The sound quality of the Onkyo C-7030 is tremendous, delivering one of the most open and wide sound stages I have ever seen. It has a balanced sound throughout, with crisp and sharp highs, maybe too harsh for the general masses, a thing that can be negated with warmer speakers or headphones.
However, for the trained ear this is one of the best CD players on the market.

There are also no controls on the front panel of the device, just an LCD, and the speakers, for the control you have the excellent remote control that is included in the package.
However, you also have the option to control the device from a touch-sensitive pad on top of the device. This CD player can also act as an alarm to wake you up in the morning, and you can also set two distinctive ones.

With amazingly clear audio, that showcased excellent definition between the frequency ranges, and the ability to get pretty loud without a sign of distortion, this CD player will replace all your sound devices in your home. The soundstage of the Bose Wave SoundTouch is also pretty wide and huge, comfortably filling a room, with its meaty bass.
One of the most versatile CD players you can get right now.
