Today, we reviewed the best ergonomic mouse for those that work long hours in front of the computer. We tested many different models, and were able to come up with the 5 best options for you. Let’s get started with the list.
Which Is The Best Ergonomic Mouse?
5. Razer DeathAdder Elite
Office and gaming life can take a toll on your hands, and you may start getting some pain in your wrist and fingers from repetitive actions, however, you can eliminate those symptoms just by opting for a more aesthetically pleasing package when it comes to your peripherals and especially your mouse. One of the best options when it comes to ergonomic mice is the Razer DeathAdder Elite which may come as a surprise but this is one of the most versatile mice in the market without a doubt, coming with a no-frills design, great ergonomics package that allows you to get both a claw and palm grip. On top of that, it is also excellent in terms of performance and it is worth stating that it is the best selling gaming mouse in the US. Without further ado, let’s take a closer look.
From the first impression you wouldn’ expect the Razer DeathAdder Elite to be a gaming mouse since it has the regular office design, but with the added Razer logo and some green details that oozes royalty. I am a long time fan of the Razer DeathAdder series and I have always owned one, just class in every aspect. Also, I have to state that the DeathAdder series was the first niche gaming mouse that was adopted by the masses, and then more casual designs like this one followed.
The Razer DeathAdder Elite sits in the middle of the size range, as it measures about 5×2.7×1.7-inches in total and a weight of just 96 grams. The ergonomics of this mouse are excellent, and despite not looking like much it will fit for every hand size and grip style, super comfortable.
The company has made a collaboration with Omron for the DeathAdder Elite for its switches, to deliver the best and the most durable in the market, as Omron switches are rated up to 50 million clicks, which is more than you could do in a decade. Also, they feel excellent, they are super accurate and deliver tons of response, no weak points at all.
This mouse is equipped with a 5G Optical Sensor with a DPI sensitivity that ranges from 100 to 16,000, covering everything the modern gamer may look out for, even to a pro-grade. The response rate was super quick, and I should also mention the tracking speed which was great at 450 inches per second. The in-game performance was great as well, perfect for every genre, and especially in FPS titles, no surprise since we have seen it in competitions frequently. The most bang for your buck, the DeathAdder Elite just delivers excellence.
4. Logitech MX Vertical
Coming up next we have the definite best most comfortable mouse in the market, the Logitech MX Vertical. This mouse might be a little expensive for what it offers, but it is excellent overall, with its super comfortable body, vertical standing, built-in battery that will deliver long life, wireless operation and many more features that will make this your favorite.
The Logitech MX Vertical has a very interesting design that is very attractive and fully designed to be as comfortable as possible, using a cresting wave with a curving on the palm side of the mouse to deliver the best ergonomics package. While tons of mice have adopted these lines and curves, the Logitech MX Vertical has done it perfectly at this vertical mouse. I know that this shape might sound a little uncomfortable and not-so ergonomic, but when I say that it is the most comfortable every I mean it.
While you can’t game with this mouse since you will have to adopt a super natural handshake grip, what this does to your arm is keep it relaxed at all times, without putting any stress on your wrist and forearm. You will feel the comfort right from the get-go, however, I expected a more premium choice in the materials selected in this mouse, because for the price it felt a little simple and understated.
This mouse has two thumbs buttons on the left side and two split mouse buttons on the right where your fingers would naturally sit, and it has a rubberized scroll wheel. On the front of the most, you will spot the USB-C port, for charging the mouse or using it in the wired mode, however, you won’t need that since the built-in battery will deliver you about 4 months of use with a single charge, which is excellent.
In terms of performance, the Logitech MX Vertical delivers tons of prowess, but don’t expect anything crazy that you would see on a gaming mouse. It has a DPI range from 400 to 4,000 so you can find the setting that is right for you with ease. It is pretty accurate as well, and you can even do some casual gaming with it.
The most comfortable mouse in the market without a doubt.
3. Logitech MX Ergo
Those that have been using PCs for a long time or those that are interested in the history, probably know trackballs, which are the predecessors of modern mice, and there are still companies that deliver the same principles with a modern twist. The most notable of them and also the most ergonomic of them is the Logitech MX Ergo. This mouse is designed to be compact, comfortable, ergonomic and super accurate, making it the perfect pick for creatives and designers. This mouse has very streamlined features, adjustability, tons of buttons and a wide range of features that you can use.
Like I said in the beginning trackballs are not a new technology, and these are the precursors of our beloved mouse. However, the Logitech MX Ergo has the looks of a normal mouse, a little larger, but generally the same, unlike another trackball that rock a strange ambidextrous design. With normal mouse design, this one has the trackball located where you would places your thumb and all the other buttons are placed in their original places, except the thumb buttons which re now located on the left side of the left click.
The scroll wheel also has added functions for example it can be pushed left and right as extra buttons for enhanced functionality. There is also a button for multi-tasking that lets you switch between the USB dongle and Bluetooth connectivity between your devices.
The biggest con of this device is the cleaning process which is a little tasking, thanks tot he trackball mechanism that tends to pick up dirt and dead skin, and you will need to repeat the process bi-weekly at the very least. Like its name would suggest the Logitech MX Ergo is a super ergonomic package that can be tilted to 20-degrees to deliver superb grip and comfort. I also liked the battery life which was very impressive and delivered about two months of function, before it needed a recharge.
I have seen trackballs before and have tried, but the Logitech MX Ergo is the definite best, and after a few hours of adjustment, I found out that it is one of the best tools for productivity, accuracy, precision, comforts, and ergonomics all in a single package that will become your best friend.
2. Anker Vertical Mouse
Coming up next we have a super cheap mouse coming from Anker, the Vertical Wireless mouse. This again is a vertical mouse like the Logitech model that we talked about earlier but it is cheaper and delivers more for the price that it comes from, delivering comfort, ergonomics and a great optical sensor that works in a wide range of surfaces. Without further ado, let’s take a deeper look into this one.
Like a true vertical mouse, the Anker Vertical Mouse is a little taller than your average mouse, as it measures about 3.98×3.23×3.15-inches in total and it has a nice shape that will push you into the handshake grip that we talked about earlier. Of course, it is a little weird at first to try and get used to this shape however, the comfort levels are just off the charts.
There is minimal wrist movement and everything is super natural to the human body which you will be thankful for. I have to mention that this thing weighs about 3.5-ounces in total despite having a bulky body and looks, and I have to also state that the build quality is excellent despite its price.
This mouse works by using a couple of AA batteries for power, which will last your for at least three months if you use it every day for 8 hours a day, and also they are pretty cheap to replace. The working range of this mouse wirelessly is pretty good thanks to the USB dongle receiver. The optical sensor that I mentioned earlier works perfectly as well delivering a great sensitivity in every flat surface, on top of that you will also have three DPI levels you can use for sensitivity depending on your needs.
My favorite feature of this mouse is that it has tons of battery saving features, such as the auto turn off feature after 8 minutes of inactivity. The back and forward thumb buttons also deliver tons of functionality for productivity and everything are very well thought with this mouse, perfect for its price.
1. Logitech MX Master 2S
On top of the list, we have the ultimate ergonomics package in the market, which is also one of the best wireless mice in the market without any doubt, resulting in an attractive offering for a wide range of users the Logitech MX Master 2S. This mouse has a great shape that delivers tons of comforts and ergonomics, and it is capable of operating under any surface, has tons of compatibility with different devices and is a definite fan favorite.
Unlike anything on this list, the Logitech MX Master 2S is a looker, very aesthetically pleasing in terms of design and construction. I have to say that it comes in three different colors including Graphite, Light Grey and Midnight Teal, all of which are excellent and rock the same nice texture that delivers a premium feel. On top of that, the thumb rest is also great, making this mouse a little large as it measures 5×3.4×2-inches in total, allowing you to get a good palm grip. You should know that the mouse is a little heavy though weighing 5.1-ounces, speed and comfort are not affected by it though.
The Logitech MX Master 2S has all the traditional controls, plus some extras including the additional scrolling wheel at the thumb position for horizontal scrolling, which will become handy for productivity users. The thumb pad that I mentioned earlier also recognizes gestures and the back and forward buttons will make this a multi-functional device. The device selector button will allow you to get a nice multi-device operation.
Productivity and multitasking with the Logitech MX Master 2S are just excellent as you can game with it without any problem thanks to the low latency, DPI switch, and the Sniper button. I also am very impressed with the Darkfield sensor that tracks every movement perfectly on different surfaces with great sensitivity. The best ergonomic mouse in the market without a doubt, miles ahead of its competition.
