Which Is The Best Windows Tablet?
5. Lenovo Miix 510
Lenovo has delivered excellent 2-in-1 Windows Tablets in recent years, one of their best iterations are the Miix 510, providing excellent value for its price. This Windows tablet features a solid build in its lightweight body, it has an excellent touchscreen that works great with the included stylus, great performance, and decent battery life. A great productivity tool for your arsenal.
The Lenovo Miix 510 hasn’t changed a lot from its predecessor, with its boxy designed tablet in grey colour and the black keyboard attachment. On the back, you will get the excellent hinge mechanism that connects to the kickstand compartment of the device. Most of the other devices in this category are flashier than the Miix 510, however, I like the company’s approach to the issue, as it hasn’t made a compromise between durability and aesthetics, and it is worth stating that the device is just 15.9mm thick.
Despite its size, the Lenovo Miix 510 features plenty of connectivity ports, such as a USB 3.0 and a USB Type-C ports, along with the microSD and audio jack ports. In total, the device weighs about 1.2 kilograms and about 870 grams the tablet part alone.
This Windows tablet is equipped with a 12.2-inch touchscreen IPS display with Full HD resolution at 1920×1200 pixels. I found out that the resolution on this display was exceptional due to its small size, and it provided plenty of sharpness. The colours were slightly cooler at 9230K, and it achieved 86.6% sRGB colour gamut coverage, was good enough for the price of this tablet.
Performance-wise the Lenovo Miix 510 is equipped with an Intel Core i5 2.2GHz CPU, along with 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of SSD, but you can also get the more advanced version, but it’ll cost you much more. This setup provides excellent performance and value for its price simultaneously. In the synthetic benchmark tests it performed decently for its category, and in practical use, it was quick and was able to get through all the tasks.
Overall, I can comfortably recommend this Windows tablet to anyone who needs performance.
4. Samsung Galaxy TabPro S
For a long time now Samsung has been in the tablet market, and it has been one of the most prominent brands. Their iteration of a Windows tablet the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S is just excellent, with an amazing display that is the best in the class, cool design, great performance for both productivity and entertainment, this device provides tons of desirable features. Let’s take a closer look at this amazing Windows tablet.
One of the biggest selling points of the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S is its astonishing thinness measuring at 0.25-inches. Design-wise it looks like the Galaxy Tab S2, with its similar shape, minimalist design and the camera bump on the back panel. However, it lacks the magnesium unibody design of the aforementioned tablet, it features a magnesium frame with a plastic backing. Overall it feels pretty sturdy and of the highest quality, and I wouldn’t be worried about its durability.
The tablet part of the device measures 11.43×7.83×0.25-inches and weighs about 1.5-pounds making it extremely portable, however adding the keyboard adds a little weight and thickness, and even then it is still pretty thin.
The Samsung Galaxy TabPro S features an amazing Super AMOLED touch capacitive display that measures 12-inches. It has a 2K resolution with 2160×1440 pixels, it can get pretty bright 367 lumens and has pretty rich and deep blacks, it also achieves great vivid colours and it is the best display in general, and excels for movies. It is worth stating that the screen managed to reproduce 99.9% of the sRGB colour gamut, with amazing accuracy, this will be very useful for artists and graphic designers.
Performance-wise the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S is equipped with an Intel Core m3-6Y30 CPU with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD, delivering mighty performance and amazing battery life in return, to be exact about 10.5 hours of moderate use. In synthetic benchmark tests, it achieved great results and will prove itself a steady performer.
Taking everything in comparison, the Galaxy TabPro S solidifies its spot as the best Windows tablet for movies and versatility in general.
3. Microsoft Surface Go
The Microsoft Surface Go is a Windows tablet that provides amazing convenience thanks to its nature, overall it is a great device that works perfectly as a laptop and a tablet. For productivity and versatility, it is a great tool that is extremely portable, and thanks to its Windows operating system it gives you plenty of freedom of use, bundled with its excellent accessories it is one of the best productivity tools you can find.
Most of the users are worried about sacrificing durability for looks and attractiveness when buying tablets, however, the Microsoft Surface Go while it is not the most durable Windows tablet ever built, it can take its fair share of abuse before giving up. It sports a gorgeous design with a back panel that looks way more than its price would suggest, however, on the front the large bezels ruin the premium look because most of its competitors have long gone with slimmer bezels.
The kickstand is pretty stable and it doesn’t wobble from accidental bumps to the table, I also like the hinge which was pretty versatile and could be tilted to different angles.
The Microsoft Surface Go features a 10-inch IPS screen, delivering good colour temperature and sharp details. It can achieve a maximum brightness of 225 nits, that is appropriate for most situations. It has a colour reproduction of 92.8% in the sRGB colour gamut, and this feature will make it an attractive option for aspiring graphic designers on a budget, making it an excellent stepping stone for them. While watching movies I noticed vivid colours, with plenty of details, a nice overall experience.
Performance-wise this Windows tablet is equipped with an Intel Pentium Gold 4415 CPU, that is not the best CPU, but in this device, it works excellently with the 8GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD storage. It will prove to be an excellent productivity tool, handling every task with ease, it is also worth stating that the CPU will also improve battery life due to its lower power consumption.
An overall great Windows tablet, a safe choice for everyone.
2. CHUWI Hi10 Air
Chuwi might not be a household name for most, however, the tech company has delivered some interesting products in recent years, and most of them have cheap price tags but deliver plenty of performance. The CHUWI Hi10 Air is the best inexpensive Windows tablet that you can find in the market, however, it is not just cheap as it has plenty of performance, design, and features for its budget asking price.
The CHUWI Hi10 Air has an excellent build and a good design language in general, with its aluminium frame with rounded edges it looks good and attractive. It is also very scratch resistant, and you can comfortably toss it in your backpack without worrying about any damage. The device itself measures 262x167x9mm in total and weighs just 522grams, without the keyboard, if you purchase the keyboard accessory, which I highly recommend it will become quite the productivity tool.
The CHUWI Hi10 Air has a 10.1-inch IPS Full Lamination display that adds to its durability, on top of that it provides amazing viewing angles and plenty of brightness, so you can comfortably use it outdoors. The resolution of this screen is 1920×1200 pixels and has a density of 224 pixels per inch, sharp enough for day-to-day productivity and for leisure time as you can comfortably watch a movie in this display.
However, the screen was a fingerprint and dust magnet, so you’ll want to keep a microfibre cloth handy to keep the device shiny and clean at all times.
On the performance department, the CHUWI Hi10 Air is equipped with an Intel Cherry Trail x5 Z8350 CPU with a maximum clock speed of 1.92GHz. To go along with the processing power it has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage in the eMMC format.
The performance from these specs was plenty for the price, and it performed excellently in most productivity tasks and it was even capable of some gaming thanks to its integrated Intel HD Graphics 400.

1. Microsoft Surface Pro 6
All-around the best Windows tablet in the market works excellently as a tablet as well as a laptop, the Microsoft Surface Pro 6. Packing an amazing performance, sleek design, beautiful display, and excellent Windows functionality and productivity, putting the pressure to other manufacturers with its competitive price as well.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 6 is an attractive laptop coming in with two new paint jobs, the Black version and my favourite the Platinum version, but both look perfect. It is 0.33 inches thin and weighs just 1.7-pounds in total, making it extremely portable. The touchscreen display measures about 12.3-inches diagonally and delivers a resolution of 2736×1824, meaning that it has 267 pixels per inch. It has tempered glass on top of it for protection, however, it doesn’t stop it from displaying amazing colour, with plenty of sharpness and deep blacks, delivering an overall great viewing experience.
This tablet features a Type Cover dock with a full QWERTY layout complete with the function keys and a mousepad. Despite not being a roomy keyboard, the typing experience is pretty much decent, however, I couldn’t achieve my usual words per minute in testing. The trackpad was also reasonable, deliver plenty of responsiveness and sensitivity.
Performance-wise the Microsoft Surface Pro 6 is armed with an Intel Core 8th Generation i5 processor with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD storage. Based on this performance I expected good things in synthetic benchmark tests, and the device delivered plenty of versatility and functionality.
